Tire Building Machine - Splice checker

A specially developed laser sensor with control unit enables the surveilance of the splicing process at the tire building machine. With one, two or three sensors, the shape of the product's surface is measured and analysed for the length of the overlap or gap.

The electronic evaluation unit enables the adjustment of thresholds to stop the building process in case of faulty splicing.
